Cadet loosely remakes the 1980's pre-condom film, also by Scott Masters, called
The Young Cadets. Fans of military themes, as well as Chris Steele (Uncle Jack) fans, will really enjoy this
movie.
Both films take place in a military academy, however this film contains
a stronger treatment about the issue of internalized homophobia regarding gay men and compromising their integrity
to launch their career. As always, Studio 2000 ambitiously enjoys wrapping a story around their sex flicks.
In Cadet, bottom toyboy Ethan Marc (Lost Exit) gets caught in the act, so he gets court-martialed for
behaviour unbecoming an officer. Marc ethically chooses not to name anyone else he knows who engages
in similar behaviour, even though he knows his career is over.
His friends are relieved, while his lover, Mark Slade, stands alone to reconcile his moral cowardice
with the alleged courage deemed of an officer. The movie's sex scenes are integrated into this plotline.
First up is a hot scene between manly top Chris Steele and delicious bottom John Ross (Reform
School Confidential). Pairing
these two guys together is superb, and both guys are totally into each other. This is in fact the best scene
of the movie. Steele plays an outstanding top at the height of his masculine skills. Ross is one of those
bottoms who looks fantastic while taking it, and Ross has no problem with Steele's rod.
In the second scene, Nick Savage interrupts a brooding Slade in his garage. Slade takes out his
frustrations on Savage's ass. Next up, Brendan Keith initiates straight-boy Jon Eric into
gay sex. They suck each other, and Eric ends up topping.
The following scenes turn up the film's heat a bit. We start with an ambitious four-way with
two couples - Savage and Marcus Caine, plus Derek Michaels (aka Caesar -
Caesar's Hardhat Gangbang) with Matt West. The two couples play separately, so
technically it is not a
four-way. Both couples are hot to watch, particularly Savage and Caine.
The final scene involves Marc saying goodbye to Slade, which naturally turns sexual.
Marc has one hot bubble ass that always looked on film. Naturally Slade takes it for a spin before
he says goodbye to Marc.
A good film with a nice story. Chris Steele, Ethan Marc and John Ross shine particularly good.
