It still mystifies us when we stumble across a video which is quite good in all respects, but the distributors never seemed to bother telling the world anything about it. Hot boxcovers with studly Brazilians are a dime a dozen, so what a surprise to find upon watching the DVD A Piece of the Action from South American pictures an enjoyable take-off off the horror film Frankenstein.

Neither its general-sounding title, not any photographs or comments on the box gives any indication that it is the story of a mad, but cute, doctor who robs a dead man's grave and gives him new life in his laboratory. Nor is there any hint that the reanimated creature, while wrapped in bloody rags is sexually seduced on the operating table by a gorgeous Brazilian hunk. Pretty heavy stuff!

And of course nobody bothered with subtitles. The music is the stock set of tunes used throughout most South American Pictures, lively rockability numbers that might have been written by Lyle Lovett or Robert Earl Keene back when they were sittin on the porch in their underwear. Combined with the fact that the film has hot, hung models having very good sex, it all comes off as pretty strange.

The weakest of the four sex scenes is the first. After laying out the creature, the doctor (Alex Junior) and a tattooed associate named Marcello talk for a bit until they decide to start groping each other. (They are the models on the boxcover) Marcello drops to his knees to give a slobbery blow-job to Junior's most senior staff.

Thick and uncut, Marcello sits on it. He spits the paler skinned bottom's ripe ass in several positions, and Junior keep a soothing chat going in Portuguese. They finish by jacking-off side by side and some ho-hum money shots. Do not fear, however, it gets better.

Later that night, the crackling Frankenstein equipment somehow breathes the sweet mystery of life into the creature (Ken Master). Motionless in bandages and rags, he is discovered on the operating table by a visitor to the facility, the really cute Bruno Meneguel. (Meneguel also was hot to watch in the sizzling The American Lover)

He wastes no time is making sure the creature of the night touches and thrills him. He licks his nipple as Master's erection throbs to life. Eyes open, the creature appears to love the blowjob he is receiving. The creature begins to lick and nestle into his partner's ass, all to the sound of his constant moaning.

The creature gives Meneguel an earth-shattering plowing from behind. Some rags fall to reveal some kick-ass tattoos and a guy with a young-looking face. We also see that the Creature is already making it a point to practice safe sex.

This scene has many high points, however the best arguably shows Meneguel's melon-shaped cheeks grinding down continuously onto Master's pole. Master finishes by ejaculating an explosion of jism that appears to have been building up for an eternity. They lay down, but a confused Meneguel awakes later alone.

Meanwhile, the creature has tasted ass, and he's not going to wait around for his creator to make him a man in just seven days. There is footage of his ambling around an attractive pool area and yard, to the musical tune to what this viewer believes is a rockabilly version of Frosty the Snowman.

Elsewhere on the estate, Luan sweet talks gardner Dhems Matarazo into poking inside for a bit for some afternoon delight. Luan gets to delight in the hirsute Matarazo thrusting his big cock very hard into his own backside. The two grunt and groan through four different positions, and shoot out big money shots.

The film ends on a sudden note. The Creature moves through the forest and silently spys two total hotties having sex in a wooded clearing. Maikon, the adorable bottomboy Thomas Lourenzo in Alexander's Brazilians Do It Better filmset, makes a surprise appearance here with the very thick Nicolas Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, a new face, is tall and slim, and wields the biggest dick of the cast. The boyish Maikon stretches his mouth to the limit with this jawbreaker. Next, the smooth twink's ass gets a complete work-out, and the top adds a constant rap of dirty talk in Portuguese.

We see here, as like the earlier scenes, these Brazilian guys sure know how to screw. While getting drilled, Mailkon says Aye! and shoots a big load. Rodriguez cums and shoves Maikon's mouth down onto his cock. There is a brief all-Portuguese ending where the cast gathers to gawk that the beauty of the Creature. Once again, non-Portuguese speaking viewers will scratch their heads at what the cast is doing.

Arguably, these are just points which make this quirky movie even more interesting. It is rare that porn can capture a genre like horror very well. And on the strength of this sex scenes, A Piece of the Action is absolutely worth viewing.
