70's Sex Club Classic
The movie is a composite of the baths, the trucks, the glory holes and every other side of anonymous carnality which highlights the early excesses of the gay sexual revolution. Halsted himself ( Kansas City Trucking Co.) takes us on a guided tour of the place. The viewer sees a locations teeming with constant erections getting off in every position and place imaginable.
Many of the actors never made another film and are unidentifiable today.
The first episode is a threeway in a truck parked in an outdoor courtyard of the club. The movie was originally filmed without live sound, however an effort was made to introduce a hot dirty-talk soundtrack that comes pretty close to the action on-screen. Halsted observes for awhile, then moves on to a glory hole chamber with slits in several walls, one of which is made of plexiglass.
The camera catches a simultaneous reality and reflection at this busy little service station in a sequence that boggles the mind. A cock sucking frenzy transpires. It concludes with gobs of cum dripping on the glass, as Halsted's cock and balls are languidly rubbed though the hot sauce which all the others have produced.
Exploring Every Corner of the Bathhouse
Every corner of the club is explored. The viewer experiences a hallway suck sequence between J.W. King (Brothers Should Do It) and unidentified clone. There is an obvious white-hot attraction between the participants, particularly obvious in the stiffness of their cocks. Then a lovely close-up of a metal chain takes the attention to Ben Barker in a sling. This blue ribbon sexpig is screwed to ecstasy while the soundtrack chimes to Going to the Chapel of Love.
After this the movie cuts to three youthful, atypical Halsted performers ravaging each other in a bunk bed. After wandering through various scenes, Halsted finally finds his quarry, studpup Greg Dale, who wears a dog collar and black leather jockstrap at the bootshine stand.
This sequence takes care of a number of Halsted's needs. Before leaving, Halsted has had his boots spiffed and energy drained by Dale's talented tongue. The transfer from film to video is pretty uneven. Some sections suffer for color saturation, causing some problems with seeing what is going on. Other parts are as clear as an unmuddied lake. Halsted's use of angles and reflections are inspired. In many ways it adds interest and fascination to the viewing experience. A Night at Halsted's is a night to remember.
