January Newsletter Prize Backdraft Men from High Octane Well we finally hunkered down and put together our first newsletter! We intend to use this so you can see what new movies are reviewed on Frisky Fans Video Lounge. Our newsletters will also include links to some hidden gems and some old favorites. Frisky Fans started because there is simply a dearth of useful information on what movies are available. I'm often consoling one of my friends who wandered into the local video store, became overwhelmed with all the stuff there, and wandered out with something that had a pretty boy on the boxcover, but the actual movie was totally forgetful. If only they had asked first! We do not aspire to review or talk about everything. Our reviews are written up from scratch, so a bit of thought and creativity goes into them. So most reviews will be for movies that are worthwhile, innovative or interesting. We really don't want to simply create a forum for panning the bad films. Plus, nobody likes a know-it-all critic. As promised, we are giving away a free dvd every month. Pictured here is your's truly holding our first prize, High Octane's Backdraft Men. You can see from our review that we enjoyed it very much. Sporting a cast of euro-muscle guys, it has lots of hot romping. Sins of the Father is one of All Worlds' recent collection of movies that amazingly captures all the essence and attraction of latino guys. Apart from the brownboy sex, everything is set amidst deep tones of yellow, red and brown colors. Pickin Up Tricks Brandon's Orgy Buddies Boy were we shocked to discover that some good stuff actually comes out of Canada! The guys in Pickin' Up Tricks possess cute looks and, very importantly, lots of enthusiasm in their interaction that really comes across on the screen. Director Conor Murphy goes around with a camera and can be heard off-screen urging these guys on. What a nice surprise from the 51st state! Another documentary-style film, Brandon's Orgy Buddies documents Brandon Weber awakening one day and deciding with his buddy on holding a spontaneous orgy at their apartment. They get on the phone, and call up their tricks, and the fun begins. Resurrection Man vs. Machine A gripping account of when a blond, angelic young man visits a lively sexclub. Beneath this exterior, Trent Atkins turns out to a bottomboy pig who hangs in slings, pokes around glory holes, and gets down with all the guys. His other sexclub friends include Sky Donovan, Jason Branch and Paul Johnson. There's nothing better then going down and relaxing at your local sexclub. Where everyone knows your name, and everyone is glad that you came. Man vs. Machine, from Drew Warner, is an intriguing account of how seven really sexy, nasty-minded guys succumb to the pleasures of the Machine. Ollie Kicks comes across as a particularly fun and nasty-minded guy. Kicks, Ramon Gabriel and others open up their capacious rear ends for sessions of mechanical love. This movie is not only arousing to watch, it is simply interesting to watch. Gay Dreams Barebacking Across America A friend of mine is ga ga over Shane Rollins. And Shane's bod is all over this movie. Gay Dreams gets our award as probably one of the most sensual, sexy movies on 2003. The chemistry between the models in movies has never been more apparent. They are obviously getting off, and so will you. Kudos to Chris Ward and Raging Stallion. Great casting here. In Barebacking Across America, these all-American boys are taking, giving, receiving and tasting each other in every combination. Coverboy Brent Everett shows his versatility here, to the joy of his growing number of fans. It finishes with a sizzling tearoom three way. Desert Sol Latin Lovers Fay Dubois has stepped out to create Desert Sol, another nice piece of work showcasing the California/southern US latino. In five scenes, Ulizes Carpelli, Sal Corelli, Gil Cortez all have sex like they really mean it. Also, like Sins of the Father, the movie is nicely lensed and filmed with flair that captures the flavors of not only the men, but the desert surroundings as well. New studio 8teenboy gets an A plus grade for this first release, Latin Lovers. These dreamy latin guys are exactly what I would aspire to catch on a weekend night at my local hoppin' dance club.
