February Newsletter Prize Sex Parade from Marcostudio Best Pictures Play Out Real Life The big buzz this time of year are the GayVN awards, which gives recognition to gay adult movies that rocked in 2004. The FriskyFans team has arranged all the GayVN nominations visually with boxcovers and, in the cases of models and scenes, representative photos. Look at our GayVN Awards 2005 Hot List to see all the action. Who will be the lucky winners? A quick glance of at the list shows several movies that receive prominent mention. Buckshot's Buckleroos clearly breaks new ground as a porn film that ventures far into big budget, mainstream territory. It is probably the one to beat for Best Picture and Best Director. Our personal favorite? Hot House's Perfect Fit. The subject of today's gay man who voluntarily bombards himself with sex and promiscuity, at the expense of committment, is a great subject for movies. This film explores it well. Actually both of these movies deal with the committment issue, except they conclude with completely different outcomes. Can a movie like Perfect Fit show life as dark, but not dreary? Compare this to a modern western, where the romance and heros are classically played out. Perhaps Buckleroos is like High Noon to the Western, whilst Perfect Fit comes in like Hud, which tackles the same characters and themes. Except in the case of the 1970s Hud, it also rattles the viewer showing imperfect characters. Little wonder imperfect people cannot find a perfect fit. It's very good. Funny, romantic, filmed with impressive technical niceties, Buckleroos fits the bill for folks seeking more then wall-to-wall sexflicks for their adult film entertainment. A strong contender for lots of GayVN awards, Taking Flight is the hottest Falcon to fly from the nest in awhile. Matthew Rush and Josh Weston leads fellow muscleboy Jason Adonis on a night flight to London. Adonis' million dollar smile and prize winning top skills make this entertaining double feature soar. Pool Boy Twink-A-Licious Sergio Anthony plays a crafty bottom who works at the All Worlds Resort. The guests love him and his anal antics. Complimented with a funny script, Pool Boy enjoys some hot sex action inside this small-scale package Newly minted twink favorite Sammy Case goes versatile in this chicken film from Helix Studios. Twink-A-Licious features lots of lickable, braces-wearing cherubs. There are four really good scenes of teen love, each culminating with splattery finishes. Backstage Jet Set Direct: Take One Porn as art - Italian director Lucas Kazan presents a carefully crafted and choreographed film that can only be labeled as a European vision of male sexuality. In Backstage, top-rate models like Giorgio Salieri perform awash in beautiful color. The universal story of seeking passion and love continues. Jet Set Direct: Take One from Jet Set has many memorable moments. A compilation of four vignettes from four directors, Bud Light always comes up with some pretty funky stuff. His scene with super hotties Tag Eriksson and Paolo Cortez is a real scorcher. Straight to the Zone Chasers A nice flick from 1993 recently released to DVD, Johnny Rahm and his straight buddies somehow end up at a sexclub. Naturally, they all end up bottoming. Now running on pay per view, the 1997 Chasers put Tom Chase on the map as a muscular sexual animal who knows what he wants. The aggressive, huge dicked star shows up in all four scenes, making this one of the best properties for his many fans.
